Starting a company

A company may be a sole proprietorship, general partnership, limited partnership, private capital company, private limited company or public limited company. Other types of companies may also be prescribed by law.
The private capital company, according to the Greek law is considered to be the best possible legal form of business, specifically with its safety and contentment. It might be established by members with responsibility limited to their contribution to the equity. It is considered very advantageous to register a “P.C.C.”, because unlike other jurisdictions, here, the minimum capital to be introduced upon incorporation is only 1 Euro. A company of this type is managed by an administrator, appointed by the General Meeting of shareholders (being the highest authority in the enterprise). The company name must be unique, then there should be added “PC”. A private capital company may have one owner who may be the sole representative and manager (director).
The headquarters of the company can be located all over Greece.
